Background & Bio
Meagan Robinson Maynor, DrPH is the Senior Program Manager for Epidemiology, Evaluation & Metrics (EEM). Prior to starting at AMCHP, Meagan was the Director of the Division of Population Health Data at the Virginia Department of Health, where she oversaw epidemiology and evaluation efforts for the Office of Family Health Services, population-based surveillance surveys, and registries. Prior to this role, Meagan served as the MCH Epidemiologist Lead, performing analysis and leading others in guiding data-driven decisions for programs in Virginia’s Title V MCH Block Grant, newborn screening and birth defects surveillance, CYSHCN, perinatal and reproductive health, adolescent health, and home-visiting. She also served as an epidemiologist and program evaluator at the Mississippi State Department of Health for Mississippi’s Title V MCH Block Grant, Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, and Asthma Program. Meagan completed her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and Master of Public Health (MPH) at Jackson State University in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and received her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University.
My Current Work
As a Senior Program Manager, Meagan primarily supports the spectrum of EEM’s projects and assists with leading and developing the EEM team’s own and cross-team portfolios. She focuses on programs, activities, and opportunities to strengthen and support public health data surveillance, epidemiology, and evaluation.
