This webinar describes how maternal mental health and substance use disorder (MH/SUD) systems change can lead to increases in diagnosis and treatment rates; identifies opportunities to utilize the lifting of the "Medicaid Institutions for Mental Disease (IMD) Exclusion" to improve treatment of mental health and substance use disorders in MCH populations; and discusses the process by which Virginia leveraged a Medicaid IMD waiver to improve access to care and treatment for MH/SUD in reproductive age women.
