“Congratulations to these officers on their appointments to serve on the AMCHP Board of Directors,” said Jacqueline Johnson, President of the AMCHP Board. “As I reflect on my personal and professional journey, I can’t help but feel overwhelmingly grateful for the opportunity to share this space with such remarkable leaders so that we can serve and speak for those who don’t have a voice or the opportunity to share it. I am excited for our opportunity not only to honor our predecessors in these roles, but also to bring something AMCHP and its membership have not experienced before.”
The AMCHP Board of Directors is responsible for the association’s property, funds, affairs, and business while helping achieve the organization’s mission to advance the health of women, children, youth, families, and communities by strengthening governmental public health and deepening community partnerships. Its members hold key positions at the highest levels of maternal and child health, as well as public health across the nation.
“I am pleased to welcome these outstanding leaders to the AMCHP Board,” said Terrance E. Moore, Chief Executive Officer of AMCHP. “This past year, our organization navigated change in ways that required us to practice true partnership and collaboration. As we position ourselves for what’s ahead, I look forward to working with these new officers and the Board in building alignment across our field as we continue to prioritize our shared goal of healthy children, healthy families, and healthy communities.”
