Submit to AMCHP’s MCH Innovations Database by September 19
AMCHP invites you to submit your work to the MCH Innovations Database ahead of our Fall 2025 Review! This is your opportunity to showcase your practices, policies, or tools that are advancing maternal and child health (MCH) and strengthening communities.
Deadline for the Fall 2025 Review: Submit by Friday, September 19, to be included in this review cycle. Submissions on or after September 20 will be rolled over to be considered in Spring 2026. All application materials, including submission forms for each practice or policy designation, are currently available on AMCHP’s Innovation Hub webpage. Check out this short overview video of the submission process to learn more.
During this review cycle, we are excited to pilot a new tool-specific submission track! This new form of submission is:
- Designed for innovations that don’t quite fit our standard practice or policy categories.
- Spotlights resources that eliminate obstacles to and promote community wellness among MCH populations.
AMCHP recognizes the validity of many forms of evidence, given that public health work is context-specific and happens in real life. We strongly believe in the power of community-defined evidence and promote its use in the MCH field to center and highlight the expertise and perspectives of people navigating MCH systems. Learn more about how AMCHP thinks about evidence and view an example of community-defined evidence.
How to Submit a Practice? Access the practice submission forms on our webpage and learn more about how you can submit your practice for review! All submissions must be sent to evidence@amchp.org by September 19 to be considered for Fall review, but are still accepted on a rolling basis.
- Not sure which designation to submit to? Check out our Minimum Criteria Checklist to figure out which designation is right for your practice.
How to Submit a Policy? Access the policy submission forms on our webpage and learn more about how you can submit your policy for review! All submissions should be sent to evidence@amchp.org by September 19 to be considered for Fall review, but are still accepted on a rolling basis.
- Not sure which designation to submit to? Email us at evidence@amchp.org.
Refer a Practice or Policy: Don’t have anything to submit but know of one that would be a great fit for the MCH Innovations Database? Refer a practice/policy to the database on our website, and we’ll reach out to them.
Need Help? Our team is here to support you! Email evidence@amchp.org with any questions about submission categories or requirements.

New AMCHP Learning Module Now Available: Advancing Community-Rooted Evidence
State and local maternal and child health (MCH) professionals, community-based organizations, and funders play a vital role in shaping programs that truly meet the needs of families and communities. To support this work, AMCHP is excited to share a new FREE, asynchronous learning module — Advancing Community-Rooted Evidence: Bridging State and Community Partnerships.
This module provides the information, skills, and ethical frameworks you need to understand, implement, and advocate for Community-Rooted Evidence (CRE) in MCH program design, implementation, and evaluation. While it includes specific recommendations for community-based organizations, state agencies/Title V programs, and funders, the content is relevant to anyone working to strengthen MCH programs through community-informed practices.
As you complete the module, you will:
- Learn to apply CRE in MCH programs and understand how it differs from conventional research evidence.
- Explore the historical and ethical context of CRE in MCH.
- Strengthen partnerships and honor community perspectives, while respecting intellectual property and building trust-based collaborations.
