Washington, DC – The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP), an organization committed to advancing the health of women, children, youth, and families, is pleased to announce the winners of its 2025 AMCHP Annual Awards. The awards recognizing leaders, innovators, professionals, youth, and organizations for their commitment and contributions to advancing maternal and child health (MCH) will be presented during the 2025 AMCHP Annual Conference from March 15 – 18 in Washington, DC.
“AMCHP is pleased to celebrate this year’s award recipients at our annual conference and to honor their remarkable achievements and impact on MCH.” Said Terrance E. Moore, Chief Executive Officer of AMCHP. “Through these awards, we recognize their leadership and commitment to addressing the pressing challenges that affect MCH populations and their dedication to going above and beyond to positively impact those around them.”
2025 AMCHP Annual Awards recipients include Xaviera Bell (John C. MacQueen Lecture Award), Shelly Choo (Excellence in State MCH Leadership Award), Sabina Khan (Vince Hutchins Leadership Award), Timothy Markle (Merle McPherson Family Leadership Award), and Rene Lambert (Ryan Colburn Scholarship Award). Recipients for the Emerging MCH Professional Award include Haita Ndimbalan (Region I), Dorothy Reed (Region II), Olivia Washington and Alana Harris (Region III), Julie Traylor (Region IV), Hallie Kerr (Region V), Monica Goedken (Region VII), Michele Coates (Region VIII), Renzymeir Baloran and Eden Sun (Region IX), and Jennifer Liposchak (Region X).
This year’s awards edition recognizes the Kansas Birth Justice Society with the Community Partnership Award and the PA Safe Sleep (Best Practice Award), Youth Advisory Board Toolkit (Empowerment and Partnership Award), and Healthy Beginnings at Home by the Indiana University School of Medicine (Community Wellness Impact Award) as recipients of the Innovation Hub Awards.
