The AMCHP board of directors has accepted the resignation of Lori Freeman, AMCHP CEO, as she has accepted a position as CEO of the National Association of City and County Health Officials.

The important work of AMCHP, and indeed our enduring commitment to the children and families of this country, will not waiver. Thanks to Lori’s leadership, the association is in as strong a position as we have ever been.

The board has already engaged an interim CEO to assure continuity of operations and we are immediately beginning a national search to find a permanent successor. During this transition time, members and partners can be assured of the same high-quality support and technical assistance they always receive from our staff. Information on the national search will be communicated once the position is formally posted.
