Background & Bio
QuaAsia received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Morgan State University in 2021 in hopes of becoming a pediatric physician assistant (PA). However, worldly events, personal experiences, and concerns led her down the public health path to advocate for African-American women and children during birth and postpartum. She quickly realized that while being a PA would allow her to heal children when they’re sick or suffering complications, her interest primarily shifted to comprehending and evaluating why these concerns are arising and why mortality rates are increasing postpartum, especially among African Americans. QuaAsia’s passion landed her in the Public Health program at Morgan State University with a focus on Child and Maternal Health.
