

Background & Bio
Lauren joined AMCHP from the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) where she served as the Program Manager for the COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence Initiative and previously served as a Disability Policy Fellow. Through these roles, Lauren has experience with grant management, tracking federal policy, communicating policy information to association members, and working with congressional staff and national partners. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Special Education from Vanderbilt University.
My Current Work
Lauren Blachowiak is AMCHP’s Government Affairs Manager on the Policy and Government Affairs team In this role, she executes AMCHP’s policy activities, including advocating for Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant funding, promoting AMCHP’s federal policy agenda, and supporting the AMCHP policy team.
