In this brief, AMCHP offers a definition for equity in telehealth, describes the four dimensions of equity in telehealth policy, and provides case study examples of how these dimensions can be applied when assessing the equity impacts of a given telehealth policy solution during the pandemic and beyond. It was developed through AMCHP’s CARES Act telehealth funding in an effort to monitor emergency regulations and federal legislation that impact the availability of telehealth to families in MCH public health systems and advocate for policies that improve access to care.
