SUMMARY:Congressional Briefing on Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease Care for Maternal and Child Health Populations
DESCRIPTION:Join the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP)\, in cooperation with Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ)\, for an informative briefing on the current state of care for maternal and child health populations with sickle cell disease. Despite sickle cell disease being the most common inherited blood disorder in the United States\, there is a noticeable gap in efforts for research\, treatment\, and awareness in comparison to other chronic illnesses.
